Flower Friday – Monadra

“cambridge scarlet” “croftway pink”

Description~ A clump-forming perennial that possesses these peculiar shaggy heads. These flowers attract a large amount of bees. The two certain types listed above are a beautiful red and playful pink colors.

Cultivation~ Should be placed in full sun or slight shade. It will flourish in well-drained soil that is kept moist during the summer months.

Thoughts~ This flower has such an interesting look about it. I love that they are described as shaggy heads because that’s exactly what they look like! I feel that this flower would be a fun addition to any flower border or flower bed that you might want to plant.
